UK Qualified Architect/Project Architect

Are you a UK qualified Architect, based in Cardiff/Bath, looking for your next challenge? Do you want to contribute to meaningful projects within a supportive, collaborative practice that values your ideas and professional growth? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

As a valued member of our growing team, you will work across all RIBA stages, from initial concept design through to technical delivery and construction. You will have the opportunity to manage your own responsibilities, liaise directly with clients and consultants, and contribute to projects that make a real difference to communities and places.

Confidence in Revit is essential, as is a full UK driving licence, as occasional site visits and regional project work form part of this role.

Managing client relationships is central to this role and will involve:

  • Becoming involved at any stage of a project and contributing effectively with minimal briefing

  • Managing multiple or complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered to programme, within budget, and to client satisfaction

  • Taking a lead role in interpreting project briefs and developing initial proposals through to detailed design, working alongside a small team

  • Demonstrating an awareness of your impact on colleagues across teams and wider business areas

  • Managing project fees and invoicing, with administrative support where required

  • Supporting and contributing to the securing of new work

  • Promoting the practice and generating positive PR

What We’re Looking For:

  • ARB-registered Architect

  • Strong design capability supported by a solid technical understanding

  • Proven proficiency in Revit (essential)

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Professional experience within a high-quality, design-led practice focused on both delivery and detail

  • A strong interest in large-scale architectural projects, with the ability to manage smaller or multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a large multi-disciplinary team, lead a small team, and work independently when required

  • Excellent drawing and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and the evolution of concepts

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and develop positive working relationships

  • An understanding of the sensitivities involved in client communication and presentations

  • Ability to balance competing workloads, managing several projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating design submissions and technical information, including the preparation of drawings, plans, reports, and specifications
